This is a 1925 water-cooled two-stroke Watermota inboard engine in need of restoration. Note that the exhaust manifold is off a slightly later model of the same make, as the original manifold was missing. The original flanges were at 90 degrees different to the later ones, otherwise they are the same. However the exhaust ports - see photos - are threaded and could be easily be shimmed out change the mounting angle to allow for the later manifold to be fitted. The water-cooling of the cylinders is via copper-clad water jackets, which also carry the maker's name plate and serial number etc.

Also included is an original brass Villiers carburettor together with a Villiers throttle control and cable and other odds and ends. Note the solid brass bilge pump, drive chain, starting handle,  etc in the photos.

I have owned this for some 25 years and it has always been dry-stored, but the years are passing and I am never going to restore it.

There is an original handbook full of exploded diagrams, and technical detail.

Prospective buyers are welcome to view it by arrangement at RG18 9.. just three miles from J13/M4 (Chieveley Interchange) in West Berkshire.

For collection only, no pallets or packing - please don't ask! But please ask any other questions and I'll do my best to answer them...
