A Vintage Sinclair Black Watch from 1975.  The display case, watch casing, strap and module are fully original.

It is the early HHMM / MMSS version of the watch.  The 0:42 is 12:42am, 42:01 is the minutes and seconds.

The black felt strap is in excellent condition with a few marks from light use.
I will also supply a single NOS Sinclair Black Stainless strap, never issued.  These NOS straps are impossibly rare.

There are no visible chips or gouges to the watch, it has the original battery clip, and the whole thing is in fantastic condition.

In good working order, this watch has an encapsulated display, not the later COB type that would lose segments.  The module also uses the ITT control IC.  Do bear in mind this is an original piece and must be treated gently.

It will be supplied with two sets of cells, one fitted.  No other accessories are included.

Some long-standing rumours concerning the Sinclair Black Watch are a bit silly.

'The watch suffered from serious inherent design flaws. These included the batteries only having a 10-day life and being difficult to replace.  This was despite advertisement claims that the batteries lasted a year.'

All LED watches I own have a minimum battery life of six months, and that's on budget Poundland cells.  A ten-day life would be ridiculous - the design would never have been approved.  ITT would have been laughed out of business had they desiged a watch IC that had such high current drain.  Cells last a long time in this watch.  Admittedly, the cells are a nightmare to replace if you are heavy handed.
