A VERY ATTRACTIVE LATE NINETEENTH CENTURY DUTCH SOLID SILVER BOX.

It measures 10cm x 7cm x 5cm.

Weight is 165 grams.

The rectangular Box has a removable lid with embossed decoration in the form of a gentleman mounted on horseback in a woodland scene. The body is decorated with panels depicting children and courting couples.  Pelmet around the base with scrolled decoration.

The box has Dutch hallmarks to the base including the 'lion 2' mark indicating solid silver of 833 finesse.

In very good, clean and crisp condition.  If you look closely you will see that the lid has lost one tiny corner 'ear'' but is otherwise without damage or fault.  A splendid example.

My antique silverware can be purchased with complete confidence. I have an excellent eBay profile and accept returns should the items fail to please.
