For sale as part of a clearance for a relative is this second Austel Lotec motorcycle, created as a prototype by Chris Castell of Maidenhead who went on to build a number of sidecar outfits under the moniker of Austel Pullman.

If you look up Austel Lotecs there are a few articles on them, and this is one of the originals, the MK1, as seen in the images.

This bike has sat for many years under a sheet in the garden. It is very heavy and I have not yet managed to move it, but it is safe to assume it has seized up. Being built like a tank it's solid, but as per the images there's a fair bit of corrosion and wear from being sat unloved for so long.

It is powered by an 1100 mini engine (I believe) and looks largely hand made.

The bike is currently registered on the DVLA and we have the latest V5. It is listed as black - I don't know why as this one is white.

The bike was taken into the possession of my relative after Chris Castell passed away - they were good friends.

We also have the sidecar prototype for sale on ebay. Being so rare we don't have a yardstick for the true value, but it would make a great project for someone who knows what they are doing and is able to fabricate parts as needed, since there are no spares available for the bike (aside from the engine which is a BMC/mini unit I believe).

Happy to answer any questions. It is for collection only, and you will need a sturdy way of transporting it.
