Here's a rare AQUA Double Success To The Railroad original 1840s open pontil historical flask that is grouped by McKearin as GV-2 and classed as "Rare". It is attributed to the Lancaster,NY Glass Works.....The front and back of flask are embossed the same with a steam locomotive on rails SUCCESS TO THE RAILROAD around the locomotive....It has the letter X with other very faint letters on bottom, which makes this flask GV-2 instead of GV-1 which doesnt have the letters on bottom......One large single rib on each side...Open pontil...crude sheared lip....aqua....pint size...6 1/2"tall....Excellent attic near mint condition with no nicks or damage of any kind. Some light dust on outside which can easily be cleaned off. I guarantee this flask is authentic and made before 1850. This rare flask comes from the "Digger Dave & Shovelin Shelley Beeler" Collection.... .
