GRATEFUL DEAD DVD -

July 4, 1987 Sullivan Stadium, Foxboro, MA

FULL SHOW - BOTH SETS - PROFESSIONALLY RECORDED - AUDIO & VIDEO.

This 7/4/87 set from Foxborough, Mass. starts off with an exhilarating “Touch of Grey,” and continues on with Grateful Dead classics like “Uncle John’s Band,” “Truckin’” and “Althea,” along with some of the songs off of the band’s 1987 album In the Dark such as “Tons of Steel.”

Throughout the celebratory, Independence Day set, the band gives off a very upbeat and playful vibe that keeps Deadheads dancing all the way through.

Between Bob Weir in his signature jorts, Phil Lesh with his American themed sweatband, Jerry Garcia’s late-’80s mullet and the Rhythm Devils’ cosmic drums/space, there is no better way to enjoying the Dead’s musical tradition.

And don’t forget to wave your flag “wide and high”

Dylan embarked on a short tour with the Grateful Dead. The opening show, July 4, 1987 at Sullivan Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., saw Dylan join the Dead for the entire second set of their show, as well as the encore.

During his guest appearance, Dylan and the Dead performed several Dylan classics, including a set-opening “The Times They Are A-Changin’,” “Queen Jane Approximately” and “All Along the Watchtower.”
