I made a small rip in the canvas while working on the painting, which has now been repaired with canvas from behind and repainted and varnished. You can see where this is in the final photo.

I love to spend time in those high and lonely places, watching and feeling the wind, the birds, the trees, the grass. Elemental things, which I long to make into paintings. Back in the studio, I use sketches, memories, imagination and photographs to create my work.
I use a wide variety of media, depending on the subject and the feel of what I want to achieve, including oil paint, watercolour paint, wax encaustic, and graphite.
