A silk Kashan carpet (11ft.4in. x 8ft.11in.) from Central Persia, circa 1910 with beautiful detail and colour. The knot count is approximately 8V x 9H per cm. sq.

There is some wear as it’s a very old item. As documented in the Christie’s catalog ‘ Uneven wear, a minute hole at one end, selvages rebound, missing a few rows of knots at one end and partial loss to the other end’. Despite this it’s still a beautiful rug of an exceptional quality.

Christie’s said if it were in perfect condition it would be worth 20-30k.

Collection is possible.
