Very old Hand Woven cushion/ cushion cover, Please see photos for a better description as I am not an expert. The one "fluffy / carpet" side has a silk look to it with a bit of a shine to the fibres, so I assume silk, but again please see photos to make your mind up. The other side is a different weave like Kilim?
The edge where the tassles are attached, doesn't seem to have a seam so it looks like this is one piece folded over and sewed shut. It was open on 3 sides when I bought it in auction, the original thread holding it shut had broken and was missing, so I was able to see that it has a newer cushion inside which is in good condition, not its original cushion though. I am handy with sewing so I stitched it shut again with brown thread, I think I have done a good job! If you want to replace the inner cushion you will need to unpick the stitching, replace and sew it shut again yourself.
In good condition, no damage that I can see just light signs of wear and of course some sides are stitched shut with thread and definitely hand made, and a beautiful addition to a cosy home. Alot of work went into this when it was made, it is just lovely.
