Early victorian hand blown & moulded, gilt & painted oil lamp font.
Glass is white/milk glass. I don't think this is cased but with the collar in place, it's hard to tell.
In remarkable condition, the paint work is 99% intact. No chips cracks or scratches that I've found, I've spent some 3-4 hours non stop cleaning this and removing the appallingly applied undermount and surplus plaster/lacquer. Most of the gilding has rubbed off as is unfortunately very common on these fonts.
Collar is not original & is wonky, however has been in place a long time, does have have split & could do with replacing. As mentioned the undermount was a mess so that's gone, the stub is clean and ready for a mount of your choosing.
Collar is a duplex 39mm screw type.
Height 160mm
Width 156mm
