NGC has given this Jefferson Nickel a Full Steps Certification. This is so extremely rare being a Mint Error coin with the Steps fully defined, separated and trouble free that NGC elected to give this Jefferson Nickel the Full Steps designation!
This is the Second Highest Grade given a 1983-P Jefferson Nickel and one of only four ever graded by NGC in MS66FS, off center or regular strike and only two graded in MS67FS off center or regular strike which I also have one listed here on eBay. PCGS and NGC has only graded a total of 16 in MS66FS and only 2 in MS67FS in their last known Coin Facts!
The 1983-P Jefferson Nickel is known to be a very poor and weak strike and a Full Step designation in any grade is rare especially this high!
A 1983-P MS66FS Business Strike Jefferson Nickel last sold at Stacks Bowers on August 16, 2021 for $4,800.00! A MS67FS Business Strike was up for sale here on eBay for $10,350.00 so this tells you of the rarity of this 1983-P Jefferson Nickel in a Full Step Designation.
