A Vietnamese blue and white stoneware charge from a 15th century shipwreck off the coast of northwest Vietnam. With bamboo decorations in the well.

It does have a couple small chips and original firing flaws as is typical of a piece this period . Spending 500 plus years at the bottom of the ocean has faded the blue under glaze decorations. Yet it remains a fine ceramic art of Vietnamese potters of the late 15th century .

See Wikipedia : en.m.Wikipedia.org on the Hoi An shipwreck mid to late 15th century
