This military belt buckle is a great collectible item for history enthusiasts. It features an arrow woven thru the number 8 on a coat of arms flanked on either side by what I believe to be an oak branch and an olive branch. This is inside a rimmed circle containing the words 8th Infantry Division at the top and Pathfinders at the bottom. This circle is flanked by two flags. I'm guessing the division flag on the left as you are facing the buckle and the U.S. flag to the right.  The buckle is somewhat ornate with each corner containing what I would describe as a featherlike scroll design and the entire edge of the belt looks to me like a twisted rope.

This description is my interpretation of what I see. I'm not an expert in military insignia or metalworking so when I also say it is brass / bronze, it is my best guess based on the weight and appearance. Whatever it is made of, it is a very nice piece perfect for collectors or for wearing out to show your love of military history. This buckle has also been engraved on the back.  "To GSA and Former Pathfinder Six from The Pathfinders."

(The strange dark spot on the back of the buckle is sticky residue from a sticker or something I will clean off prior to shipping.) A picture has been added to show the back after the sticky was removed. The color appears different due to lighting conditions and the photo being brightened to enhance the fact that the sticky has been removed.  However, the buckle is still the same dark color as in the other photos.  Thank you.
