Vintage Emerson Model 557 Bakelite AM/FM radio that is a good candidate for restoration.  The radio is only able to get some light static and hum and unfortunately, the dial indicator is missing and the mechanism will have to be restrung.  In addition, the stems for the band selector and station indicator are loose - probably missing a washer that keeps them secure.  The bakelite body is in very good condition with no chips or cracks.  There are some scratches, but overall, the radio presents quite well.  Power cord is a bit stiff and there is a tiny spot near the chassis where some of the exterior is missing.  Cord should be replaced.  Great looking radio that will be a fine addition to your collection.  In order to ensure safe delivery, the radio will be double boxed.  Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.
