Here is a relatively rare original Photax double sided vintage wooden photographic slide box.  A well made and useful accessory for your slide projector and for storage of other items above and beyond slides which can be easily carried from place to place, home, office, hotel etc. with it's carrying handle. 

This vintage original wooden box has a slightly soft red interior and is useful for many items including slide trays with a tray capacity for hundreds of slides with it's double sided compartments or useful for anything else. (slide trays not included). 

 It is made in the United Kingdom with original Cheney England Catches (see photos).

This original marked Photax storage box is a perfect accompaniement for all slide projectors. It's great for storing your slides in a compact and stylish way with carrying handle so easily carry your slides wherever and whenever you need to.  Original Metal Clasps work perfectly and open and shuts as should easily and well.  It is in very good used condition with just a few bumps as shown in the photograph a tiny piece slightly peeled, bumped corner, and very tiny rust type spot on small area (see photographs).  For such an age these are characteristics of a used item but clearly well looked after.

It's a lovely original box and even has the original double sided blank slide index recording cards.  These double sided index cards are rare to find uncompleted (two small accidental pen line type marks on one page).  It also has the side bands to hold the cards in place.  Not all slide boxes have these, nor have them still intact after so long.  It really is in good condition.

Being sold as already have another and was using this one simply to safely store unmounted flat camera lenses.
