A large WW2 ARMY D-Day and RAF Malaya G.S.M and L.S.G.C. Medal Group + documents all belonging to Corporal Harry Chappell, who having enlisted and served in the army R.A.S.C. between 17 April 1943 and 11th November 1946 went on to enlist and serve with the R.A.F. between the 6th April 1951 and the 8th September 1969, where he saw service in Malaya.

This auction is for a large WW2 Army D-Day, RAF Malaysia General Service Medal (named 4066367 Cpl H Chapel R.A.F)
, R.A.F Long Service Medal (named 4066367 Cpl H Chapel R.A.F) and Pingat Jasa Malaysia Medal with Box and Certificate. Along with A Dutch WW2 Liberators Medal and Certificate, A boxed D-Day Museum medal awarded to Harry, two Post war old Comrades D-day association badges (one named to him) and another D-Day commemorative medal. All of this comes with his RAF service book and a research document telling his story. 

For many years after the war Harry returned to Holland where he attended D-Day parades held there. Sadly on the 7th June 2014, one day after the 70th anniversary of D-Day, Harry, living in his home town of Barnsley and now the last surviving member of the D-Day Association passed away.
