In 2020 was rebuilt onto a new chassis - not a refurbed or patched up one, a NEW genuine old stock chassis was fitted under a relatively good body, this is one of the last 300s made, the roof, scuttle or rear door frame were not repaired and still don't need to be.

Also professionaly fitted were;

New complete inner wings,

inner and outer cills

boot floor

rear crossmember

footwells and rear arches restored

clutch with strengthed fork

brake calipers

all brake pipes 

all road springs, shock absorbers, suspension ball joints & bushes etc.

new timing belt, pulleys and front cover

wheels refurbished and a set of 5 Michelin tyres fitted

headlining covered with 4 way stretch fabric - still looks good.

body panels were TIG welded repaired, so no flapping panels!

Originally refurbed as a van with windows it became necessary to add a rear bench seat and one 'jump seat', it's currently a 6 seater, no rips or tears in the upholstery but the rear seat is a different colour to the others.

Been serviced every 12,000 miles, totally reliable, next service due in 4,000mls.

starts, stops & drives spot on.

EGR blanked off, no ABS, no airbags, central locking and immobiliser removed for reliability.

In 2023 the fuel lift pump was replaced and last year a secondhand speedo had to be fitted, currently it's showing 118,000 mls.

Last week a shock absorber top bush was replaced for it's first MOT in 7 years,

advisories are brake discs pitted, oil leak and coil springs corrodded.

The rear wash/wipe doesn't work, I've not looked at why, it doesn't bother me.

With a coating of Waxoyl or similar and routine maintenance this could easily still be on the road in another 10 years time, the MOD are still using the LR 300 tdi engine / R380 gearbox so parts shouldn't be an issue.

Only selling as we've replaced with a 110.
