Altona-Bahrenfeld: Cigaretten-Bilderdienst, (1933). First edition. Softcover. 4to. 92pp. Original gold-stamped color illustrated wraps. Paste-down on front cover shows image of the Brandenburg Gate quadriga with the Swastika. Gold lettering below paste-down. Early National Socialist propaganda cigarette-card album documenting Hitler rise to power. Chapters look at Hitler during World War I, the 1923 Hitler-Putsch, various NS organizations, the Führer traveling throughout Germany, Hitler in private, NS meetings and parades, their victory on Jan. 30th, 1933, etc. Other sections praise Hermann Göring, Joseph Goebbels, and Ernst Röhm. Approximately a year after this publication Hitler had Röhm and many SA leaders and members murdered in the infamous "Night of the long knives." Hitler forbade for Röhm to be mentioned or pictured in any National Socialist literature. For this reason, NS propaganda works with the SA Führer in them are relatively scarce. Includes full-page b/w reproductions of photographs depicting Hitler in full uniform, with young admirers of the Hitler Youth, Horst Wessel during a SA parade, the victory parade at the Brandenburg Gate on the night of the Nazi takeover, as well as a group shot of Hitler with Goebbels, Göring, Himmler, Heß, Röhm, Frick, Kube, Kerrl, and Darré. Complete with all 273 pasted-in color cigarette cards after photographs. Average size of cards is 2 1/2" x 2". Text in German, gothic script.

The book is in above average condition.  I did not see any missing pictures.  There is a small amount of damage at the bottom of the book that does not extend into the text.  Please examine the photos as they are of the item the winning bidder will receive.
