This 1987-S $1 American Silver Eagle is graded a PR70DCAM by PCGS and is part of the Reagan Legacy Series. The label is hand-signed by Michael Reagan, son of President Ronald Reagan.

President Ronald Reagan signed the Bullion Coin Act of 1985 which created the American Eagle bullion program. The Silver Eagle is the most popular silver coin in the world. The obverse of the coin depicts Adolph A. Weinman's full-length figure of Liberty in stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left.

The reverse shows a heraldic eagle with shield, an olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left.
