In 1960, the Dodgers were still introducing themselves to Los Angeles, and this series of booklets was distributed for free, by their big sponsor, Union 76 Oil Company.
A different player's booklet would be released every week, for fans to collect.
These two booklets feature Johnny Podres and Walter Alston.
Inside pages have photos of their families, outside appearances they made, and articles about them.
As for the condition of the booklets, it appears they were well-loved (by my mom.)
The Walt Alston booklet has some dark water stains, as you can see in the photos.
The Johnny Podres booklet also has some water marks but not as bad.  This one has a tear at the top of the back page, which shows in the photo as well.
