Item Description :

This is a vintage Japanese bamboo Teaspoon (Chashaku) of Wajima lacquer ware for tea ceremonies, which was made about 30 years ago. 

The bamboo-based spoon is coated with black lacquer, and it is decorated with MAKIE.

"Momiji, maple leaves" & "Icho, gingko leaves" are hand painted by the technique of MAKIE.

The original wooden storage box with the signature of the artisan is also included.

Chashaku is one of essential items to enjoy tea ceremonies. It is the tool to scoop Matcha powder from a tea caddy.
