1962 Omega Mechanical Ref.131.001-62 Swiss Cal.286 Vintage Watch - Stiff To Wind

Please read before buying:

This Omega winds & works fine however it is stiff to wind. When it’s fully wound it works great and when time tested it lost just over 1 minute over a 24 hour period. This could be corrected with a simple service.

About the watch & condition: 

Here we have a nice vintage Omega with a mechanical Cal.286 movement. It dates to 1962 and is a superb looking watch despite the wear to the dial. It would definitely come up even nicer with a full clean. More details below:

The watch has a stunning champagne dial with a patina across it as shown and some general wear. It does also have some wear along with left hand side as shown but still looks really nice for its age. It’s has the lovely, 3,6,9,12 dial with batton markers too!

The crystal isn’t the original but is nice and clean with minimal wear and no cracks etc.

The case is stainless steel and looks amazing, it does have some surface scratching but this is common of any pre owned vintage watch.

The crown winds & works just as you’d expect. It is a little stiff but you can still fully wind it and it runs fine as mentioned. It also has the Omega logo on which is always a bonus!

The watch is sat on a nice leather Condor strap which is a good size. Unfortunately it does have a gold plated buckle so this may want swapping out to a silver one.

This watch is a mechanical watch, this means it needs to be wound for it to work. Please know this when buying!
