Known As The Ugliest Ship Afloat, Long Waiting For Sailing Orders.
The Carnegie Institute's ship, "Bowdoin," which has been called the ugliest ship afloat, is now resting in the Washington Channel awaiting its next trip to some distant part of the sea. The "Bowdoin" is constructed entirely of wood, no iron or steel being used in its construction. Reports say it will soon go another scientific voyage.
