18k solid Gold English made pocket watch 18 size by  Wergman.

Made in London - 1830's.

Case &  solid 18K gold face also in  good condition, no damage, shows wear with age.

Item Details:

Gold case made in Chester. The case maker possibly Thomas Keeff,

41 Clerkenwell Close & Middleton street, Clerkenwell. Active 1824 - 1832.

Date mark indistinct. This watch dating from around 1830 or so.

Key wound , key set, English jeweled lever set movement marked London, Wergman.

The mechanism has  a fuse and approx. 15 ruby & diamond jeweled bearings,

diamond end stone. The gold dial also 18K solid gold , Roman numerals.

The balance wheel turn free, chain is intact, watch runs for a few seconds and 

stops. Probably need good cleaning.
