Vintage Transitional Planes Lot (3), in good to fair condition, with good length usable blades. The planes have been cleaned and lightly oiled. Wooden bases have wear, dings, scratches (mainly  on the soles.) The finish on the metal frames was worn and has been lightly re-finished. All adjustments function smoothly. Knobs and totes attach tightly. Nice lever caps.

1. Stanley No. 32. Length 26", 3 1/4" wide with a 2 5/8" blade (No. 8 size.)  Note the plugged holes on left side, used to attach a fence. Blade and chipbreaker have light tarnish and weathering, blade cutting area is very good, approx. 1 7/8" remaining. Blade has the "Q" mark (1891-1904).

2. Sargent No. 3422 VBM. Length 22", 3" wide with a 2 3/8" blade. Good blade and chipbreaker, good cutting surface has approx. 2 1/8" remaining. Note the tote is a non-original replacement. Nail gouges on sole have been CA-glue patched.

3. Stanley No. 27 1/2. Length 15", 3" wide with a 2 1/4" blade (Sweetheart).  Not as common as the No.26 or 27, marked "2 1/4" on the frog as well as the underside of the lever cap. Exposed surfaces of blade and chipbreaker have some weathering, cutting area is good with approx. 2" remaining. Note the tight CA-glue repair to tote horn (just visible in pic 20 adjacent to the top of the lateral lever).

With honed blades the planes would make good users or for further restoration. I will be listing more planes this week, and will always combine shipping where possible, but please make shipping requests before payment for individual items. Shipped USPS Ground Advantage.
