COASTAL COMMAND

THE AIR MINISTRY ACCOUNT OF THE PART PLAYED BY COASTAL COMMAND

1939 – 1942

HIS MAJESTY’S STATIONERY OFFICE

This superb publication, an Air Ministry account of the part played by Coastal Command in the Battle of the Seas, and published during the height of the War in the Atlantic gives a fascinating insight into the work of Coastal Command in protecting the important sea lanes to the U.K.  Containing many first-hand eye-witness accounts this brings the war down to an individual level; a perfect example being a fight between a German Focke-Wulf Kondor and a Hudson which is also very well illustrated with photographs of the aftermath of the fight.
