George L. Thompson was born in Nebraska and received degrees in architecture from the University of Minnesota and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Thompson joined the design department at Steuben Glass Works in 1936 and was a senior staff designer until his retirement in 1974.

It is in good pre-owned vintage condition. It has normal age related wear with light scratches throughout, especially the bottom. I tried to capture them, but it was difficult.
