Coyle has recreated Leonardo da Vinci's famous flying machine. The model kit is a labor of love, and is a historically accurate, museum caliber, handmade wooden model kit. Along with
hand-cut wooden parts and selected materials, the artist provides the builder with a highly
detailed instructional text which includes 117 illustrations, presented in a folio of
four Octavio signatures. This is a limited-edition model kit, produced in a
series of 1000 copies. It contains a signed lithograph wing plan, printed in brown light fast ink that is suitable for framing.
- I purchased two of these kits several years ago from Imagination Factory and built one. It was challenging, but when finished, I was rewarded with a fabulous display piece which still warrants praise to this date. I am hesitant to let this kit go, but it's time to thin out the collection.
