Even though it is a world of super-tiny SMD devices, they all started out life as human-handleable components. Decades-old technology is still available and a great way to learn the fundamentals, or layout an idea before committing to SMD masks.
All components are designed to be inserted into the #500 Tray, it is the basic starting point.
- Add a #505 Terminal Strip Pack to mount DIP chips, LED segment displays or switches.
- Use #510 Distribution Strips as needed to provide power rails.
- For larger components and more working space, incorporate #515 Discrete Component Strip.
- Expand the configuration by building components into the #535 Vertical Tray Pack and attaching to the #500 Tray.
Solderless connections compatible with DIP legs, and lead diameters from 0.015 in [0.4 mm] to 0.032 in [0.78 mm]. Solid 24 AWG works great in these modules.
