1800s iron grape shot cannon ball, found at a west Bexar County, Texas, horse
ranch estate sale. Looks to be grape shot, based on size and weight. Measures
approximately 1 ¾” in diameter and weighs approximately 10 ozs and looks to be
a dug artifact. The only military engagements around Bexar County, Texas that
would have used cannon or grape shot occurred during the Texas Revolution and
Republic Period. Surface rust from exposure, see photos for details. NO LOCAL
