Vintage 'Port' Navigation Ships Copper Oil Lantern, Light, Lord Line, Hull Fishing Vessel Owners Association - Hull


Very rare and a considerable size / weight (Hence the high postage cost)


Difficult to date, but I would suggest around 1930 - 70's and looks unused. 



Stripped, it would have originally been painted red (some paint remnants internally)


Marked on the plates:


"Lord Line Ltd, Makers, St Andrews Dock, Hull" (One of the largest fishing trawler operators working out of Hull)


"Port"


"Hull Fishing Vessel Owners Association, Hull, No 2182"


Removable internal glass (not perspex) red-coloured filter. The wire securing pin is broken to one end. 


Glass fresnel lens marked C B Ltd 10 x 7 (Chance Brothers Ltd Smethwick)


Original oil burner within, with conical glass shade, the wick tuner is marked "Sherwoods Ltd, Birmingham"


Working order


Large - 67cm high including handle x 38cm wide x 38cm deep. 15kg approx 


Very good condition for age and application, with wear, marks, dints and tarnishing plus, some large chips to the lens.
