This toy is from the personal collection of Bruce Fox, 30+ year employee of Fisher-Price, historian and author of "Fisher-Price-Historical, Rarity, and Value Guide, 1931-Present".

This vintage Fisher-Price #237 Riding Horse made for ONE YEAR in 1936 is a must have for serious Fisher-Price collectors. It has the original stencils throughout, original leatherette reins based on the picture in the 1936 catalog in my collection, original horsehair tail, and even the FP logo stamped on the bottom. These features are important to verify the real horses from the early knock-offs.

It is in excellent condition and in my collection for many years. It is for sale because I purchased a slightly better one at auction.
