This is an original press photo. 3-year-old Kerry Whitman walks along with his puppy Bullwinkle, on their way to Vernon C. Haynes Middle School on Metairie Road Sunday. They along with many others took advantage of rabies vaccinations being offered throughout New Orleans and Metairie sponsored by the Association of New Orleans Veterinarians. The low-cost shots were available at many locations Sunday in both Orleans and Jefferson. This is part of an annual campaign the group conducts to keep pets disease-free. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 05-07-1989.
