The pen is in EXCELLENT condition. There are no noticeable dings or dents to the pen. The cap screws securely onto the barrel threads. The gold fill seems to be holding up well. There are NO dings or dents.
MOORE #2 FLEXIBLE 14K NIBThis vintage Moore gold-filled ring top fountain pen features its original #2 14K solid gold Moore Pen nib. This nib is smooth and is somewhat flexible. This will definitely add flair to one's writing (check out the photo for details). There is plenty of tipping material left. The nib is properly aligned to the feed.
This Conklin gold-filled ring top fountain pen has been cleaned and tested for function (filling and writing). It is READY TO WRITE upon filling with standard fountain pen ink.
- A new correctly sized Ink Sac has been installed with the addition of 100% pharmaceutical grade talcum powder.
- The Moore #2 14K solid gold nib has been adjusted for smoothness and flow. Beyond making sure that the pens I restore write, I like to make sure they write well. Using a loupe, premium micro-abrasives, and when necessary, specially made nib repair tools each nib is carefully adjusted to provide an enjoyable writing experience based on the particular characteristics of the nib. This Moore gold-filled fountain pen is an absolute delight to write with.
