Here is a very rare early Folmer & Schwing 5x7 Cycle Graphic Sr. folding plate camera. This is a very early F&S camera before it merged with Eastman. The serial number of 5627 looks to have been made before 1905. It makes a beautiful display piece. The outside leather covering is in great shape showing light wear. The strap is present although I probably would not hold it by the strap. The button has been repaired. The inside is a beautiful mahogany. The bellows are black so are not original. It comes with a f12.5 lens in a Volute shutter. My guess is the lens is a Protar but it doesn't say. The shutter does fire with the speeds and diaphragm working but the shutter seems to fire immediatly and not wait for the level to be pushed back down so it needs some adjustment. The ground glass is intact. The side curtains on the door have come loose on each side. For a 5x7 camera it is quite small. When all closed up it measures approx 3" x 6 3/4" x 8 1/4". Makes an excellent display piece. I also have the 4x5 version of this camera up so you have the chance to get both sizes for your collection. I can combine shipping on multiple purchases.
