This is a vintage porcelain ring box with an ornate gold tone band hinged hardware that has beautiful hand painted roses and blue ribbon designed with French quote:  "Mieux Vaut Tard, Que Jamais".  Meaning "Better late than never".  There are no cracks or chips, but the bottom has some discoloration marks and some black paint loss on lettering here and there.
