Queen Elizabeth I is handmade in the US.  Gladls designs and makes the ornaments (doll and the clothing).  She draws the details of the face of each doll with ink and details the face (i.e. pink cheeks) The floral part of her dress is cotton with lace and gold trim. The ornament is about 8 inches tall.  The ruler in the picture is 6 inches. A feather in her hair and large feather fan complete the ensemble. 

The Boalt signature (1991) is on the foot of the doll.  It took me a while to find it. 

The doll is in great condition, but she has been used. The dress billows out like a bell and is held in place by stays at the bottom hem and just below her waist. She could easily be used as a tree angel on a smaller tree.
