WARBLEBECK finds Malaby pushing the envelope with his Cello Trio, featuring cellist Fred Lonberg-Holm (Vandermark 5) and drummer/xylophonist John Hollenbeck (Claudia Quintet). Aside from the uncommon lineup, the trio highlights intimate group interaction whether they're engaging in screaming blow-outs or classical-like delicacy.
