Featuring this beautiful American Character Sweet Sue Walker Doll from 1953.

Sweet Sue is a vintage 18” hard plastic doll who has never been played with. She was probably found in old store stock and is in her original box. However, bow for one shoe was not in her box. Also, she has an original Sweet Sue tag, just not sure if this is the correct one for her edition.

Sweet Sue’s head turns as she walks. She is jointed at her neck, shoulders and hips. She poses beautifully and has.retained her tight stringing.

This stunning doll has an auburn wig in its original style, blue sleep eyes that open and close easily with real lashes on top. She has single stroke eyebrows with the slightest mark of leftover paint above her one brow. She has a beautiful complexion with rosy cheeks and a closed red mouth. For some reason photos show her lashes bent from storage but it’s not obvious when looking at her.

This lovely doll wears all of her original clothing. She wears a Cotillion baby blue tulle gown with an ivory satin portrait collar and an ivory brocade bodice and flounce. Her waistline is decorated with a pretty spray of flowers. Her sleeves puff out with blue tulle edged in lace. The gown closes in back with four working snaps.

Interesting info: Box top writing says “Margaret’s doll, 1941-1945 War Years.”

I do not see any issues with her gown, hoopskirt or underwear .
