This auction is for a 20" tall vintage Kathe Kruse German Child Doll VIII with jointed cloth body. She has a hard plastic swivel head, (it looks similar to a painted bisque), reference says hard plastic so it may be a hard plastic, a sweet face with oil painted light brown eyes, single stroke brows and closed mouth with great face coloring. She wears a replaced human hair wig with bangs that is secure on her head. Her firmly stuffed cloth body has tab jointed arms and disk jointed legs. "Kathe" is marked on the bottoms of the feet as shown. Reference tells me the hard plastic swivel head dolls in the VIII German Child were made in the 1950s and up. I do not know her exact year. Doll is very clean and has been well kept. Wears a plaid dress, undies, stockings and shoes. Included is a small Teddy bear. She did not come with a doll stand but does sit. I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description. Please email any questions prior to bidding.
