The iPad Pro 12.9-Inch (Wi-Fi + Cellular - 5th Gen) features a fully-laminated, antireflective 12.9" mini-LED backlit 2732x2048 "Liquid Retina XDR" display (2D backlighting system, 264 ppi, 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio) surrounded by a thin black bezel and packed in a slim case with rounded corners and flat sides. The back is offered in either silver or a darker "Space Gray" color.
This iPad Pro is powered by a 3.2 GHz Apple M1 processor with 8 cores (4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores), an 8-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. If configured with 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB of storage, it is equipped with 8 GB of onboard RAM. If it is configured with 1 TB or 2 TB of storage, it is equipped with 16 GB of onboard RAM.
Other notable new features include a Thunderbolt / USB 4 port and a new 12 megapixel Ultra Wide front camera with a "Center Stage" feature that automatically pans and zooms to keep subjects in frame, and 5G support, as well.
Like previous recent iPad Pro models, the iPad Pro 12.9" (5th Gen) models also support LiDAR, "Face ID" authentication, external keyboards and trackpads, and the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen that charges via a magnetic connection on the side of the device. Along with the aforementioned front camera, it has a dual rear camera "system" with a 12 megapixel wide angle and 10 megapixel ultra-wide angle lens.
In addition to Thunderbolt / USB 4, other connectivity for this model includes 5G, dual-band 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) with HT80 with MIMO capability and Bluetooth 5.0. It has five microphones and a four speaker system.
