This is a vintage New York Islanders retail authentic CCM jersey in the away style worn by the team during the 1996-97 season. After introducing the infamous Fisherman jersey in 1995-96, the Islanders quickly modified the design the following season by placing their original logo atop the Fisherman wave template. The Islanders wore both the Fisherman and this design during 1996-97. By 1998, the Islanders ditched the wave pattern and returned to a more traditional design. These jerseys are extremely rare, particularly with the 25th anniversary patch. This one is in excellent overall condition. Blank, perfect for a customization project. Must have piece for an Islanders fan or any hockey jersey collector.
