Le modèle Beatrice, premier étui à aiguille, breveté en 1867, est en laiton très finement estampé de fleurs et présente un sytème de "paravent" en parfait état de fonctionnement. Inscription BEATRICE PATENT.
Il s'agit du tout premier modèle breveté par James Williams Lewis en 1867 pour la manufacture AVERY and Sons. Birmingham, Royaume Uni, 1867.
Le second à système de présentation alternée de quatre compartiments, est en métal chromé. Inscriptions Avery and Sons REDDITCH. Birmingham, Royaume Uni, vers 1870.
Les deux étuis sont dans un rare parfait état, les systèmes fonctionnent et coulissent parfaitement.

The Beatrice model, the first needle case, patented in 1867, is made of brass very finely stamped with flowers and has a "screen" system in perfect working order.
Inscription BEATRICE PATENT.
This is the very first model patented by James Williams Lewis in 1867 for the AVERY and Sons factory.

The second, with an alternating presentation system of four compartments, is in chromed metal.
Inscription Avery and Sons REDDITCH.
