A Double Glass Music Box Decanter, Japan, c.1960. This uniquely designed Decanter set plays music only while carrying or lifted off the ground. The music box device upon bottom is activated by a lifting stem, which only allows the music box to play while lifted. Ironically, the jingle that plays is named "How Dry i Am", which could in reference to carrying the decanters to be refilled, or refilling someone else's glass. The casing is made of brass with patina shown throughout, it's nicely aged. The handle lifts open to access each decanter, the handle locks and unlocks as it should. Each bottle shows a stunning gold "spaghetti" motif on both sides. The original brass bottle stoppers (or corks) are missing. The underside is marked "Japan".
