Vintge LIMOGES JEWELRY BOX COBALT BLUE & 22KT GOLD - FRAGONARD Courting Couple

This is a lovely Limoges "Veritable Porcelaine D'Art" jewelry/trinket box from France.

The markings are on the bottom.  The lid has a scalloped edge, very dainty.

It has the courting couple on the top, a design by Fragonard.  I believe it is considered "the Proposal".

There are also gold floral designs throughout the top, and sides.

The gold is 22KT based off of research.  It measures about 5.5" in diameter x 2" high.

The cobalt blue is beautiful, and the gold is terrific.

There is a small flea bite on the inside rim of the bottom, very hard to see. Zoom in on the last picture,

Zooming in you can see a few light scratches on the top, hard to see with the naked eye.

Nothing that takes away from the beauty of this vintage Limoges piece.
