Brian Downing branded bat, heavily used in either MLB games or possibly AAA, Spring Training or batting practice used. Center branding dates to pre- early 1973 at the latest and Downing made MLB debut in 1973. Bat also has either a 6 or 9 on barrel. Downing wore #16 his rookie year and #9 in 1980 with the Angels, indicating bat was either used 1) in 1972-73 when with the Knoxville Sox or Iowa Oaks, 2) in 1973 Spring Training or 3) used by Jorge Orta who wore #6. Regardless it is a fantastic bat for White Sox or Downing collectors.
