The Coleman Company made the Model 502 Stove from the early 1960s until 1983. The one in this auction was originally made in March of 1969.

Let's face it, Coleman should have offered these stoves in something like brushed aluminum or nickel or other options instead of green! As with many of the 502s we acquire, this one was in sad shape. So, in an effort to preserve this stove, the stove was disassembled and the fount and all burner parts were sent out and professionally media blasted of their original finishes. All burner parts were then treated with Cerakote Shiny Silver, a high heat (2000 degree) ceramic coating.  The fount was treated with Chromex, another high heat ceramic coating used by hot rod enthusiast to give their exhaust headers a custom look, as it does on this 502. Chromex, on the fount, has the look of chrome with an "orange peel" affect.

When all parts were returned, the stove was reassembled and received a new Coleman logo, rear directions decal, fuel cap gasket and generator. The pump leather on the stove has been oiled. The stove pumps up and holds pressure. When the valve wheel is opened, air and fuel can be heard coming through the generator. It has been fueled and tested and it works excellent. A copy of the operating instructions will be included.

Please note: As hard as we try to get the check valve cleaned up, they will sometimes still leak unless the valve stem is closed, as Coleman literature states.

This stove has been around for over 55 years and is now ready to cook again for you!

  PACKING: We pack your items the same way we would want to receive them. That is, we pack to minimize any chance of breakage. Lanterns are disassembled of globe, vent and bail handle. The globe is bubble wrapped and then placed in a coffee can or separate carton before being placed in the shipping carton. All other pieces are bubble wrapped and all voids are packed with suitable light weight material so that all parts are immobilized inside the shipping carton.

Fuel will be emptied from all lanterns & stove before shipping!

        SHIPPING: PLEASE NOTE! Due to items being damaged with combined shipping, we will combine only TWO won items per shipping carton!!

  We use USPS Parcel Select for the majority of our domestic shipping. However, with the Postal Service now using more dimensional weight, we may use FedEx or UPS for ground shipping if it will save a buyer some dollars.  International shipping is via Priority Mail International. Of course, if your item is within First Class weight limitations, we will ship First Class Mail. We will combine shipping when possible, but no more than two won items per carton! Please feel free to email us for a shipping estimate. We try to ship your item within 24 hours of received payment.

NOTE: Since we do use PayPal and eBay shipping, it is impossible for us to change the final price of an auctioned item. We are sorry, but we are unable to falsify any final sales price to avoid tariffs or other fees.
