Unsure of the date on this.  Neuweilers has been defunct for a good 40-50 years I believe.   I think this is a tap marker.  It is made of non magnetic metal and the sign part folds in and out as shown.  11" long folded out and 9" long folded up.   Letters are slightly raised but would not call them embossed.
