A Leitz Wetzlar 35mm Summaron f3.5 lens in Leica M mount. The lens was made in 1958, at about the same time that Leitz introduced the Leica M2. This example comes with the makers caps and a Walz skylight filter. The filter has a small edge crack, but this should have no effect on picture taking, and the filter is left on the lens for protection of the front element. The lens barrel is near mint, as can be seen in the pictures. Focus is smooth, and apertures sets with ease. There are no oil marks on the blades.
Some pictures taken with this lens on a digital M camera (Not included in this sale) are added to show the sharpness of the lens. Some of the test shots were taken at a 45 degree angle to show the depth of field at various apertures.
