Hi,i have for sale a nice Smiths 8 day Art Deco mirrored mantle clock that is in good working condition.This clock dates to around the 1930's and has a mirrored front dial surround and a central rippled dial plate with gold numerals.The clock head sits on a Bakelite plinth and held by two gold painted brass supports.This has a good quality platform escapement and i have cleaned and re oiled the movement and platform as a matter of course.The clock has a good strong even tick and keeps time.I have also re oiled the platform escapement with the correct oil.The glass has been removed and i have cleaned the central dial and inner glass.The clock measures 19cm high x 22cm wide x 6.5cm deep.There are no cracks in the Bakelite and i have left the base and supports unpolished .Please take a look at the pictures to see the general condition and what is present.
